Kyle Pitts has been rumored as a trade possibility for a while.
The Atlanta Falcons' tight end has never lived up to the hype he created in his rookie season, and now in the final year of his deal, he'd be a logical candidate.
That set up for some parody accounts to start creating fake news about Pitts.
On Tuesday, just hours before the deadline, a post surfaced on X of a trade. It wasn't real.

Did Kyle Pitts get traded?
No, Kyle Pitts did not get traded.
The fake post below said he had been moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a couple draft picks:

It wouldn't be shocking to see Pitts involved in a last-minute trade.
But as of 3 p.m. ET, Pitts was still a Falcon.
Atlanta has shown just enough promise to potentially play this season out with Pitts on their side.
And if he was moved, it wouldn't be for two second-round picks. A tight end on an expiring contract would never command that much value.
