TL;DR
- Marvin Harrison Jr. and Bam Knight are listed as questionable for the Cardinals' Week 13 game.
- Harrison is expected to play despite an appendectomy and limited practice, but may not play every down.
- Bam Knight is expected to play against the Buccaneers with a knee injury and will continue as starter.
- Harrison is a sit due to recovery concerns; Knight is a start as a viable flex option.
The Arizona Cardinals are listing two key offensive players as doubtful for their upcoming Week 13 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. And running back Bam Knight.
Harrison has been sidelined for the last two contests due to undergoing an appendectomy. He participated in three restricted practice sessions this week, subsequently receiving a questionable designation.
Knight appeared on the injury report this week due to a knee problem and also only participated in practice to a limited extent throughout the three days.
Here's what we know about Harrison's and Knight's status for Sunday.
Will Marvin Harrison Jr. Be participating in today's game?
Despite the questionable tag, Harrison is expected to play on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an illness, is expected to play vs. The Buccaneers, per source," Schefter reported on Saturday night.
Is Bam Knight playing today?
Knight will indeed suit up for the Week 13 game against the Bucs, Schefter reports.
"Cardinals RB Bam Knight, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a knee injury, is expected to play vs. The Bucs, per source," Schefter wrote.
Guidance on whether to start or bench Marvin Harrison Jr.
Our primary worry regarding Harrison this week centers on the likelihood that he won't participate in every down during his initial game following his return.
While that hasn't been verified, speaking with journalists on Friday, it appeared Harrison may not have fully recovered at this point.
"Some things feel uncomfortable and some things feel kinda normal," Harrison told reporters, according to Bo Brack of PHNX Cardinals.
If Harrison needs to play, he's in a favorable position against a Buccaneers defense that allows ninth-most fantasy points weekly to wideouts.
Considering that statement and his absence from all full practices this week, we're choosing to be cautious and will bench Harrison for Week 13.
Verdict: Sit
Bam Knight: Should you start him or bench him?
Trey Benson is not slated to rejoin the team's roster this week, meaning Knight will continue as the starting player for an additional week. Furthermore, he won't have Emari Demercado taking away carries, as Demercado has been sidelined due to an injury.
Since becoming the starting quarterback in Week 6, Knight has been scoring an average of 10.1 fantasy points each game. This performance places him at tied for RB29 among quarterbacks during that period, positioning him as a borderline flex choice weekly.
Knight joins a Buccaneers squad that is allowing the 11th-highest fantasy points per game to running backs in 2025. This, combined with adequate usage, positions Knight as a viable flex choice for Week 13.
Verdict: Start
