Is Marvin Harrison Jr. playing today? Injury update, start or sit advice for Week 17 image

The Arizona Cardinals have a question mark at wide receiver this week in Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison was on the Cardinals injury report once again this week because of his heel and only turned in limited practices before drawing the questionable tag.

The Cardinals wideout overcame the questionable tag to play last week, but will he be able to do the same for the Week 17 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals?

Here's what we know.

Is Marvin Harrison Jr. Playing today?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Harrison is expected to play in Week 17.

However, Schefter adds that Harrison's snaps will be limited in the contest.

"Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a heel injury, is expected to play vs. The Bengals but his s snaps will be managed, per source," Schefter reported.

We'll get final confirmation on Harrison's status around 11:30 a.m. ET, when the Cardinals and Bengals release their lists of inactives.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Start or sit advice

Entering this week, Harrison ranks as WR38 overall in fantasy points per game, which makes him a fringe flex option, at best.

Harrison played limited snaps last week, also, and caught just one pass for 14 yards. He ultimately ended up seeing 29 snaps.

The Cardinals receiver will likely see a similar workload in Week 17, and that will come against a Bengals defense ceding the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game against wideouts this season.

On top of the pitch count, we also know that Harrison isn't operating at 100% and the risk of reaggravating the injury is at least fairly high.

With everything we know, we would suggest sitting Harrison in Week 17.

Verdict: Sit
