Marvin Harrison Jr. Has seen an increased role in the Arizona Cardinals' offense in recent weeks.
In the absence of Kyler Murray, Jacoby Brissett's arm has led both Harrison and tight end Trey McBride to see bigger workloads in the Cardinals' passing game; Harrison posted a career-high seven receptions in a Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
With Harrison attempting to get back on the star track he was on upon exiting Ohio State, the young receiver has faced a setback in Week 11, however.
Here's what to know about how long Harrison will be sidelined for Arizona.

What happened to Marvin Harrison Jr.?
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Nov. 12 that Harrison had undergone surgery for appendicitis, sidelining the receiver for at least Week 11.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon shared with reporters that Harrison had the surgery days prior and he would be "out."

How long is Marvin Harrison Jr. Out?
At a minimum, Harrison is set to miss his first career game when the Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday for Week 11. Harrison played all 17 games in Arizona's 2024 season as a rookie, and has appeared in all nine Cardinals games this season.
Per Schefter, Harrison will be out for Week 11 "and possibly longer." His timeline will depend on how he recovers from his appendicitis surgery.
According to Cleveland Clinic, undergoing an appendectomy typically results in symptoms being lessened in a "few days," while it may take "a few weeks to return to your normal activities." A full recovery can take an estimated six weeks.

Cardinals WR depth chart
| Starter | Backup | |
| WR | Marvin Harrison Jr. (Out) | Xavier Weaver |
| WR | Michael Wilson | Zay Jones (IR) |
| WR | Greg Dortch | Simi Fehoko (out) |
The Cardinals are dealing with some extensive injuries at wide receiver. Not only is the leading receiver, Harrison, set to miss some time, but Zay Jones (Achilles, IR) and Simi Fehoko (wrist, out) both recently became sidelined as well.
Jones' injury was a season-ending torn Achilles, Schefter reported Wednesday. The former Bill, Raider and Jaguar will be out the rest of 2025.
Without Harrison, the expectation is that tight end Trey McBride will become even more of a focal point in the passing game than he already was — McBride has four games with at least 10 targets this season, including his 127-yard game in Week 10. He'll continue to be fed with a lack of weapons in Week 11.
However, the Cardinals will also be leaning on third-year receiver Michael Wilson, who has 231 yards so far this season, and fifth-year receiver Greg Dortch, who has 15 catches for 73 yards so far. Both players have been in Arizona their entire NFL career, but haven't been featured in the offense heavily.
Second-year receiver Xavier Weaver is also an option on the depth chart, but he has yet to tally his first career catch. Additionally, the Cardinals signed receiver Andre Baccellia to their active roster off the practice squad on Wednesday, per Schefter.
