Cardinals 2026 mock draft: Arizona predicted to select Oregon quarterback to replace Kyler Murray image

The Arizona Cardinals will have a ton of difficult decisions this offseason, especially at the quarterback position.

Though Murray still has multiple years left on a $230 million contract he signed in 2022, Arizona seems ready to move on from the 2019 No. 1 overall pick.

Murray played in just five games this season due to a foot injury, and his future with the franchise has come into question after three straight disappointing years.

There is still a possibility Murray returns as the Cardinals' starting signal-caller in 2026, but NFL Mocks' Tarringo Basile-Vaughan predicts Arizona will kick off a new era by trading up for Oregon quarterback Dante Moore in April's draft.

Basile Vaughan believes Arizona will trade a future first-round pick and more to move up and select Moore. The Cardinals are currently slated to have the No. 5 overall pick.

"Arizona finds their Kyler Murray replacement with the selection of Dante Moore who many will see as the QB with the higher upside," Basile-Vaughan wrote.

Moore has had an efficient season at Oregon in 2025, completing 72.9% of his passes for 3,280 yards with 28 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Though Moore's numbers aren't eye-popping, the Michigan native has done a terrific job with his accuracy and limiting mistakes. Moore has a high ceiling as a pocket passer with under-the-radar athleticism, but his lack of experience starting in college is a bit of a question mark.

Selecting Moore would inject some optimism into the Cardinals, but he isn't a prospect worth trading up for and giving up future draft capital. The Oregon signal-caller isn't the top quarterback in the draft, as that honor goes to Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, but Moore has the potential to be a difference-maker at the sport's most vital position at the next level.
