Texas Tech predicted to land 60-TD transfer QB from conference rival image

Texas Tech seems likely to get almost any quarterback it wants in the transfer portal.

The Red Raiders have proved they can put together a potent offense and that they can shell out the cash to get a deal done.

This is a College Football Playoff team now, one that lots of QBs will want to play for, as well.

The transfer portal is loaded with quarterbacks, of course, and that can make it tough to figure out who will end up where.

In a new article this week, The Athletic's Manny Navarro has predicted landing spots for a lot of the main transfer QBs.

For Texas Tech, he predicts that Brendan Sorsby from Cincinnati will be the starter in 2026.

"If you connect the dots, Sorsby’s volleyball-playing girlfriend, Gretchen Sigman, transferred to Texas Tech around the same time the quarterback entered the portal," Navarro writes. "Also, we hear Texas Tech pays well."

Sorsby began his college career with two seasons at Indiana.

He then joined the Bearcats and started for two campaigns. Sorsby has thrown 60 TDs and run for 22 more in his college career.

He's certainly a high-talent addition for whoever gets him.

If it's Texas Tech, the offense could be quite prolific next fall.
