Texas A&M's Marcel Reed makes decision on NFL Draft image

Ahead of the College Football Playoff, Marcel Reed has made up his mind.

The Texas A&M quarterback won't be declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. He's coming back to the Aggies next fall.

The news was broken on Monday by former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, who had Reed on his podcast.

It's not totally clear what Reed's draft value would've been. He hasn't been thought of as a first-round QB at any point in the process.

With millions of dollars going in NIL money to top quarterbacks, it's surely profitable for Reed to return to College Station.

Before that return comes around, though, Reed has business to take care of. The Aggies will be dreaming big when the CFP gets underway.

Texas A&M is the No. 7 seed in the Playoff and will take on 10-seed Miami in the first round on Dec. 20.

Reed, in his third year at A&M and second as a starter, has thrown for 2,932 yards and 25 TDs this season (10 INTs). He has also run for 466 yards and six more touchdowns.

The Aggies will certainly be glad to have the quarterback position solved for next season already.
