Marcel Reed lead the Texas A&M Aggies to first playoff apperance

After an amazing 11-1 season led by the 2nd year head coach Mike Elko, the Texas A&M Aggies are headed to the College Football Playoffs for the first time in program history. Texas A&M was just 1 win shy of  competing in the Southeastern Conference Championship where if they won they would have had a guaranteed spot, but a loss to rivals Texas Longhorns left the Aggies out of Championship Saturday.

The committee has placed the team at the #7 spot giving the 12th Man a chance to cheer on their team at Kyle Field against #10 Miami. The Aggies have an undefeated record in College Station this year.

The #10 spot was the spot many were uncertain about as there were many teams pleading for the spot. The Hurricanes were the team that was able to please the committee enough for the chance to be able to compete in this year's College Football Playoff.

The Aggies were expected by many analysts to be an 8-4 team, however the team had major wins against Notre Dame in South Bend, and 3 impressive consecutive conference road games. This is the first time since 2012 that the program has won 11 games, which was led by the first ever freshman Heisman winner Johnny Manziel.
