The Texas A&M Aggies are having quite the simple Saturday.
They're taking on Samford, which was always going to be a mismatch.
That's exactly how it shaped up, too. The Aggies were up 31-0 at the half.
It raised just one concern for A&M fans. Where is Marcel Reed?
The star quarterback wasn't on the field very long.
Is Marcel Reed hurt?
No, Marcel Reed is not known to have gotten injured against Samford.
Texas A&M just wisely gave him a very short day at the office.
While he was playing, he completed 10-for-15 passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns.
Reed didn't even play the whole first half.
It's the right call by the Aggies, of course. They've got much bigger fish to fry.
These SEC non-league games late in the season can almost serve as mini-byes for the star players, and as like a preseason game for a lot of the backups to get in more.
Reed is just fine, and A&M will move on with much bigger goals still in the hands of its star quarterback.
