Five-star safety and Tigers commit Brian Womack is officially on flip watch after a high-profile visit to Texas A&M last weekend. The Aggies put on an outstanding performance by staging a 27-point comeback, which hasn't been done in SEC history. The win over South Carolina kept the perfect season alive in College Station.
They delivered what a “knock-it-out-of-the-park” recruiting pitch and one that could stick with Womack. Auburn’s highest-rated 2026 commit was taken care of during his time with the Aggies.
According to GigEm247's Joseph Hastings, Texas A&M staffers, including head coach Mike Elko and position coach Ishmael Aristide, made sure he was a priority. Even star quarterback and Heisman contender Marcel Reed connected with the recruit hours before torching the Gamecocks for 439 yards and three touchdowns.
Womack is the “perfect culture fit” for the program and a player the Aggies hope to build around.
Womack told 247Sports he believed A&M’s comeback was inevitable, praising the atmosphere inside Kyle Field and calling the Aggies “a great team” regardless of the early struggles. “I knew they were going to win the whole time,” he said.
The visit comes at a key moment for Auburn, which is searching for a new head coach after firing Freeze midseason. With the Tigers uncertainty and Texas A&M surging on the trail, Womack’s commitment is now firmly under scrutiny as signing day approaches.
