Legend Bey's commitment features confusing Ohio State to Tennessee flip-flop and an odd mom rumor image

The ongoing recruiting commitment and signing saga of Legend Bey is definitely a weird one.

The basics are this: Bey was originally committed to Tennessee, then flipped to Ohio State about a month ago, then signed back with the Volunteers on Wednesday.

Mixed in are odd reports about Bey only flipping back to Tennessee because his mother refused to back him signing to Ohio State.

Bey, a talented 4-star quarterback from Forney, Texas, is a big pickup for the Vols.

But how did this really happen?

There's a lot that nobody knows for sure.

This tweet surfaced on Thursday:

While it's not 100% verified that that's a real post, it did surface from legitimate college sports reporting accounts.

There's also some of this that lines up.

Just Wednesday, shortly before signing, Bey told Dallas Morning News reporter in person that he was sticking with Ohio State:

It's starting to become confusing for everyone involved. If Bey really doesn't want to be at Tennessee, should the Vols even want him?

Would Ohio State still have room to welcome him if there's a path toward a last-minute pivot?

Given Bey's legendary name, fans will remember this saga no matter where he winds up. Right now, it's simply not clear where his end destination will be.
