The Penn State White Out game against Oregon on Saturday night was one of the most anticipated matchups of the college football season so far in 2025, and the fans didn't disappoint.

The official capacity at Beaver Stadium is 106,304 fans. But, everyone who knew what a White Out game was, and on the biggest stage, knew there would be more than 106,304 fans in attendance on Saturday night.

The attendance at Beaver Stadium reached 111, 015, according to Penn State Athletics, which was just the second time in history the attendance reached 111,000. The other time? Penn State vs. Ohio State in 2024 when the attendance record was broken with 111,030 fans at the game.

Penn State Nearly Breaks Attendance Record

The Nittany Lion fanbase base so close to breaking the Beaver Stadium attendance record on Saturday night, falling just 15 fans short from the record set last year against the Buckeyes.

However, Oregon did as good as job as any keeping the fans out of the game for the vast majority of regulation.

The Ducks corralled the Nittany Lions' offense for three-plus quarters, keeping them out of the end zone, and even forcing them to earn boos from the home crowd.

But Penn State got things rolling in the fourth quarter and overtime. The Stadium was loud and everyone was on their feet for the final 10-plus minutes of the game and overtime.

The Ducks' weathered the storm and silenced the sold-out crowd with a game-sealing interception in the second overtime period. Then, Oregon ran down to the Penn State student section to taunt the Nittany Lions' fans.

Saturday night's attendance ranked No. 2 in Beaver Stadium history and it made the AP Top 10 matchup an unbelievable environment. It's what makes college football so special.
