Penn State got its man.
In the end, the Nittany Lions landed what appears to be a quality hire as their next full-time head coach. Matt Campbell is coming from Iowa State to lead PSU.
It even sounds like Penn State will keep the well thought of interim coach, Terry Smith, on staff rather than losing him elsewhere.
But fans of the Nittany Lions won't be able to enjoy any of that excitement this weekend. It's a quiet weekend for football in Happy Valley.
