When a new head coach comes to town, things can often change drastically for the coaching staff.
But with the Penn State Nittany Lions, Matt Campbell isn't getting rid of everyone.
Trace McSorley will stick around.
On3's Pete Nakos reported Sunday that McSorley will stay on the staff.
A season ago, McSorley was the assistant QB coach. His new role hasn't been announced.
McSorley, of course, was a fan favorite quarterback for the Nittany Lions. He's a smart guy to keep around. He knows how things are done at Penn State, and he has solid name value, too.
McSorley clearly wants to stay in Happy Valley.
It's a smart move by Campbell to let him.
