The Indianapolis Colts are on the fringe of making the AFC playoffs if recently-signed veteran quarterback Philip Rivers can deliver a few key wins down the stretch.

Regardless of what transpires, though, rookie tight end Tyler Warren is already beginning to live up to the hype as another potential star to come out of Penn State.

According to College Football HQ's Nick Merriam, Warren is certainly a name to not overlook.

"Tyler Warren looks like a future all-pro in the Colts offense," Merriam wrote.

Warren has already shown steady flashes of who he may become, catching four touchdowns with three of them in consecutive weeks against the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and Las Angeles Chargers.

In April, Colts coach Shane Steichen couldn't help but compliment Warren's skillset.

"You got a target that big with that size, he plays above the rim," Steichen said. "Sometimes when guys are on him, he's still open."

Steichen said he's easily coachable, making him a worthy $20.9 million investment according to Spotrac.

"He's an in-line (player), he can block, you can split him out wide, you can throw middle screens just get the ball in his hands however you can," Steichen said.

With room to grow, it seems obvious the Colts want him as part of their long-term development moving forward.

Only time will tell if the praise from his coach lasts, though.

"He's a guy that can do it all," Steichen said.
