Dylan Raiola still hasn't committed as a transfer to any school since leaving the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

But the uber-talented QB was visiting Oregon this weekend to consider joining the Ducks.

The latest rumor about that is kind of a wild one, though.

This is what 247Sports writers Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz reported on X on Saturday night:

"Sources view it as possible Dylan Raiola could up at Oregon even if Dante Moore passes on the draft & returns to school. In that scenario, Raiola would sit behind Moore for a year & be in line to be the Ducks’ starting QB in 2027."

It's not immediately clear how likely Moore is to return to school.

Some analysis of Moore's performance in the College Football Playoff has said it's more logical for him to go back to college after how those games went.

Going back to school could, potentially, also avoid being drafted by the nightmare New York Jets.

But Moore going back or not isn't the most interesting part here.

Would Raiola really go and sit a whole year? It seems so antithetical to modern college football, where the guys transfer because they aren't playing.

Raiola would be a huge get for Oregon no matter what. He was the top passer in his class a couple seasons ago, having been committed to Georgia before flipping to Nebraska.

After two promising seasons with the Cornhuskers, Raiola is ready to move on.

And if Oregon is the landing spot, the story could take an interesting turn.
