The Cleveland Browns have been in the news this week, and not just because they benched Joe Flacco for rookie Dillon Gabriel.

Shedeur Sanders, who has a bigger spotlight on him than your average third-string quarterback, also made headlines thanks to a recent interview with ESPN Cleveland.

When asked about his thoughts on the former Oregon Duck being inserted as the starter, Sanders pantomimed his responses, moving his mouth as if he were talking, without actually speaking any words.

Sanders caught a lot of flak for his antics during the interview, but his father and former coach, Deion Sanders laughed about it after the fact.

"(Laughing emojis) Good 1 son. You did that," commented Coach Prime on Instagram.

It seems like Sanders' interview was not because of Gabriel, but in response to what former head coach Rex Ryan had to say about the 144th overall pick this week on ESPN.

"This kid talks and he runs his mouth. Like he said, ‘I can be a starting quarterback’ with his arms crossed like this. Get your [expletive] in the front row and study and do all that. If I know, the whole league knows. Quit being an embarrassment that way. You've got the talent to be the quarterback, you should be. You should be embarrassed that you're not the quarterback now," said Ryan.

While the noise from the media was loud, there has been no response from anyone within the Browns organization. This could mean everyone in that locker room understands what Sanders was trying to do with his interview and has no issues with it.
