The Oregon Ducks continue to be a threat for the playoff field, ranked No. 7 the current projections by On3’s Andy Staples.
The win over USC was a statement to the rest of the Big Ten and likely a Playoff-sealer. The Ducks showed resilience despite injuries along the offensive line and at wide receiver.
Now they face Washington in another heated matchup. While an Ohio State-Michigan result might help them, Oregon must control its own destiny. Coach Dan Lanning’s squad has to remain sharp, keep the momentum going, and avoid letting external outcomes dictate their mindset.
The Indiana loss was a downer. However, any slip up late by the Hoosiers and Oregon loss is given a little less weight considering how both teams are rounding out the season.
The Ducks have to control what they can. If they do, they’ll position themselves strongly for the Playoff.
