CFB Fans roast Dylan Raiola after Patrick Mahomes' Oregon bet goes viral image

College football fans found a new crossover joke this week, and it centered on Patrick Mahomes, Dylan Raiola, and the Oregon Ducks.

Mahomes recently posted a photo on social media wearing an Oregon Ducks jersey while rehabbing from an ACL injury, fulfilling a lost bet with Chiefs rookie linebacker Jeffrey Bassa, an Oregon alum. The bet stemmed from Oregon’s dominant Orange Bowl win over Mahomes’ alma mater, Texas Tech, and instantly became a jump-off point Ducks fans.

The internet connected the dots when Raiola, who has long been compared to Mahomes for both his on-field style and appearance, committed to Oregon. Fans joked that Mahomes Dante Moore Jersey was the “bat signal” Raiola couldn’t ignore, tying the two moments together into a viral roast that spread across social media.

Raiola, a Nebraska transfer, spent two seasons with the Cornhuskers, throwing for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2025 before a broken fibula ended his season after nine starts. His efficiency jumped sharply in his second year, completing 72.4% of his passes, up from 67.1% as a freshman.

The move also comes as Oregon weighs its quarterback future. Moore led the Ducks to the College Football Playoff semifinals before a blowout loss to the Indiana and has yet to decide whether he will return or declare for the 2026 NFL draft.

However, for fans, the storyline was simple.  Mahomes in an Oregon jersey, Raiola to Eugene, and the jokes wrote themselves.
