Week 13 has come and gone, but so has the Oregon Ducks' most recent win against the USC Trojans from this past Saturday.

Not only did the Ducks prevail with a 42-27 win against Lincoln Riley's Trojans, it was also a win for CBS in terms of viewership. The network, which carried the 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT telecast, was the second-highest rated college football game of this past week, per On3.

And rightfully so, as both teams were fighting for its College Football Playoff. Although the Ducks came away with the win, 5.43 million people got to see two of the Big Ten's best in a meaningful game.

Sometimes, CBS doesn't always hit it out of the park. However, their selection did.

"On to a fun one," Dan Lanning told reporters ahead of Washington.  "The season has gone really quick here, obviously. I'm excited for this next challenge here with Washington. I again want to take the opportunity to thank our fans for being unbelievable this past weekend. We got some work with our guys this morning, and certainly excited to continue to attack this week."

The Ducks still have an outside shot at reaching the Big Ten title game, although it would require some help to get there, as they don't hold the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Lanning didn't have much to say, as his focus remains on finishing the regular season with a win.

"I'm only worried about this game," Lanning said. "It was a good question, but I'm just worried about this game. But that's got to be close. I don't know if we have a timer on it. That was one of the longer ones."

As for how to prepare the newer members of the team for a game of this magnitude, Lanning is keeping it simple.

"You show it to them and educate them on it, show them the history of the game," Lanning said of the rivalry. "We did some of that this morning, tried to illustrated to them what it's like and compare it to other atmospheres that they have been around."

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT, also on CBS.
