There are so many big jobs open in college football.
There's Penn State, and LSU, and Auburn, and Florida, and the list goes on.
Naturally, there are going to be a lot of rumors whipping around fast and furious. Many of them involve Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.
Kiffin has done a great job with the Rebels and has proven he can perform in the SEC.
He's also a big name that would feel like a win of a hire for any athletic director.
But because of all that, Kiffin's name isn't just involved in rumors. It's also involved in some fake news.
One viral social media post has taken advantage of that. Shown below, this post says that Kiffin has signed an extension with Ole Miss through 2035, a decade from now.
🚨BREAKING: Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss agree to a 4year/$4Million dollar extension running through 2035.

The name, a mish-mosh of the letters from the real website On3 Sports, gives this away as a parody post.
It's got the right idea. The way colleges keep their coaches around is by altering their contracts for bigger money and/or longer security.
If Kiffin stays at Ole Miss this offseason, it'll likely be with a richer deal than the one he has right now.
But at least for now, there's no new contract for Kiffin in Mississippi.
