Ole Miss Chancellor Glenn Boyce addressed swirling speculation around Lane Kiffin’s future on Monday, praising the Rebels’ staff while declining to comment directly on the head coach’s pending decision.
“We have an elite assistant coaching staff,” Boyce told Super Talk Mississippi's Richard Cross. He emphasized the group’s role in sustaining the program’s on-field success.
Boyce later credited the assistants for forging strong relationships with players, calling their work “foundational” to the Rebels’ 10-1 season.

His remarks came as Kiffin dominates national headlines amid reports that LSU is preparing an unprecedented offer to lure him to Baton Rouge.
According to Yahoo Sports, the Tigers have discussed a seven-year deal worth at least $90 million, paired with more than $25 million annually in roster-investment funds tied to NIL and recruiting. The package would place Kiffin among the highest-paid coaches in college football.
Ole Miss and Kiffin agreed to delay any public announcement about his future until after the Nov. 29 Egg Bowl, leaving the program and its postseason hopes in a tense waiting period.
