It's No. 1 vs. No. 2 on Saturday in the Big Ten Championship, and not just because Ohio State is taking on Indiana.
It's because Julian Sayin is taking on Fernando Mendoza.
Those two quarterbacks come into Saturday's game ranked as the top-two quarterbacks in the country in passer rating.
A game like this hasn't happened since 2019, according to OptaStats.
That last matchup? When LSU's Joe Burrow played Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa.

Sayin and Mendoza have each followed slightly winding paths to get to this stage Saturday night in Indianapolis.
The OSU QB Sayin initially headed to Alabama, but when Nick Saban left, he came to Ohio State.
Mendoza was at Cal before joining Curt Cignetti in Bloomington this season.
They've both been absolutely brilliant. Sure, each has talented WRs, but they've also been on time and on target, over and over again.
There's so much to be excited about when the top-two teams in the country face off.
When you get to add in the fact that the top-two QBs in the country also get to face off, it adds that much more excitement and intrigue to the whole thing.
Expect the football to be spun all over the yard in a contest that should be absolutely thrilling for everyone to watch.
