The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were a bit slow to get rolling in the transfer portal this month.
But on Monday, they landed one of the biggest names available: Quincy Porter.
Porter just completed his freshman season at Ohio State, where he arrived as a five-star wide receiver. He was ranked by Rivals as the No. 2 WR in the 2025 class.
Now, he'll play for the Fighting Irish, according to a Monday morning report from On3 Sports.
“Notre Dame is a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to playing for Notre Dame and have the opportunity to continue to develop,” Porter told On3 Sports. “I think the future is good and they have a great historic history and I want add to that."

Porter played in four games as a freshman at Ohio State (which would allow him to count the season as a redshirt year).
He had four catches for 59 yards total, buried on a depth chart that was loaded with talented wideouts, led by Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate.
Porter is originally from Bergen Catholic in New Jersey. In his senior season, he had 57 catches for 969 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Notre Dame still has more work to do this month. But landing Porter is a huge win for Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish.
Ohio State, on the other hand, has had three WRs hit the portal, in addition to Tate going to the NFL Draft. The departure of Brian Hartline to be the head coach at USF has impacted the Buckeyes' ability to hang onto the wideouts that Hartline recruited. But with Smith back next season, not all is bad.
