Jeremiyah Love stats today: Where does Notre Dame running back’s historic performance in win over USC rank in Irish history? image

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish took on the USC Trojans in Week 8 of the 2025 college football season. It was a big matchup between two ranked teams, but it had even higher stakes because, for the time being, the game signaled the end of the heated, historic rivalry between the two teams.

The first half of the game was a great example of why this series has been a must-watch for years. It was back and forth on the scoreboard, but Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love looked like he was running at will on the USC defense. He had an incredible first half, notching over 100 yards on the ground and finding the end zone.

Love finished with 228 rushing yards. This ranks sixth all-time for a single game in Notre Dame history, and, in terms of the rivalry, was the most rushing yards a Notre Dame running back had against USC in all of their matchups.
