Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s unconventional relationship and the power dynamics that have fueled months of headlines take center stage in a new Vice TV documentary set to premiere this week.
“Out of Bounds: Bill Belichick & Jordon Hudson” examines the public scrutiny surrounding the former New England Patriots coach, now at North Carolina, and his 24-year-old partner, whose prominent presence has followed Belichick into his first college coaching job.
The documentary arrives after nearly two years of relentless attention tied to the couple’s 48-year age gap and Hudson’s increasingly visible role in Belichick’s professional life. Their relationship became public in 2023. According to People.com, the two first met on a flight, where Belichick complimented Hudson on a book she was reading.
Since then, Hudson, who an adult cheerleader and entrepreneur, has been a frequent figure at public appearances, interviews and UNC football events. Reports from Pro Football Talk and NBC News have described her involvement as “very active,” with some league insiders questioning whether her influence negatively affected Belichick’s chances of landing another NFL head coaching job.
The documentary centers around earlier this year when Hudson interrupted a CBS Sunday Monday interview with Belichick, igniting viral backlash and accusations that she was attempting to control the narrative. Belichick later defended her actions, while the moment only intensified debate over the couple’s dynamic. Hudson has also threatened legal action against podcaster Pablo Torre over coverage of their relationship.
Vice TV’s documentary leans into that controversy. The network reportedly pursued the project after multiple planned docuseries chronicling Belichick’s first season at UNC failed to materialize. Some recruits have privately expressed concerns about the media attention surrounding the program, even as Hudson has regularly attended games in Chapel Hill.
“Out of Bounds: Bill Belichick & Jordon Hudson” premieres Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Vice TV.
