Bill Belichick is reportedly drawing interest from the NFL.

Despite his commitment to the North Carolina Tar Heels, there are at least two teams in the league expected to gauge the level of interest for the six-time Super Bowl winner. According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, a third could enter the mix if certain ownership changes materialize.

Belichick, 73, is in his first season at North Carolina where the program sits at 4-7 and is not bowl eligible. He has publicly reaffirmed his commitment to the job, declaring, “I’m fully committed to UNC Football and the program we’re building here.”


Rumors of a possible early buyout surfaced midway through the season but were dismissed by both Belichick and Tar Heels AD Bubba Cunningham. While the Tar Heels’ season has been a struggle, Belichick’s legacy as the architect of one of the NFL’s most dominant dynasties remains intact. The question now is how long he plans to coach and whether that plan includes another run in the NFL?

At his age and given his record, any potential employer would be weighing not only the prize of hiring a proven winner but also the timeline of his career.

As the college season winds down, attention will be given on whether Belichick’s next chapter stays in Chapel Hill or takes him back to the NFL with his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson by his side.
