The Frisco Bowl has become one of the top bowl games in college football. What will happen when Ohio University takes on UNLV?
Last year’s MAC champion, Ohio is on a two-game win streak but has had a tumultuous run-up to the game. Coach Brian Smith was fired for cause last week, leaving defensive coordinator John Hauser to run the show vs. UNLV while the school is in the midst of a coaching search.
Losing the Mountain West championship game to end a four-game win streak, UNLV looks to bounce back. Coach Dan Mullen also looks for a big win in his first season. Leading the Rebels is dual-threat QB Anthony Colandrea.
It’s the first matchup between the two programs since 1988, when UNLV won, 26-18. Ohio won the Frisco Bowl in 2018.
