The Big 12 and SEC will come together once again as Houston and LSU battle for the 2025 Texas Bowl Saturday.
With a drastic turnaround from last year, Houston now gets to fight for a bowl win in its own backyard. Willie Fritz's Cougars finished this season at 9-3 and as one of the top teams in their conference, putting the program back in bowl contention for the first time since 2022.
Despite a pretty average season, LSU has been the center of much drama in the world of college football. The Tigers had high highs but equally low lows, and back-to-back home losses against Vanderbilt and Texas A&M led to coach Brian Kelly's dismissal. LSU will enter a new era next season with Lane Kiffin at the helm.
But first, time for a solid matchup at NRG Stadium.
