Emotions run high when Georgia Tech and Georgia get together no matter what each team's record is entering the game, but the stakes will be higher this year.
With the Bulldogs at No. 4 and the Yellow Jackets at No. 23, both teams are nationally ranked entering the game for just the 12th time, and their 19 combined wins entering the showdown are the most ever.
Georgia once again harbors national title hopes, and another win against its in-state rival would keep the Bulldogs on that path as they wait on other results to see whether they will play in the SEC Championship Game next weekend.
Though Georgia hasn't lost to Tech in Atlanta since 1999, the Yellow Jackets figure to present a formidable challenge to a Bulldogs team that tends to start slowly. Haynes King leads one of the country's most productive offensive units against another stellar Georgia defense in what should be a tight affair.
It took eight overtimes to decide last year's game. Here's how to watch all the drama unfold today.

Why is Georgia Tech vs. Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium?
Georgia and Georgia Tech play in Atlanta every other year, but the venue for this year's edition of the rivalry game is different, as Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host the matchup for the first time.
The home of the Atlanta Falcons and the SEC Championship Game is only about a mile and a half from Tech's usual home field, Bobby Dodd Stadium, but provides a much different environment than that intimate on-campus stadium with a view of the Midtown skyline.
Tech agreed to move its scheduled 2025 home game to Mercedes-Benz in exchange for $10 million from AMB Sports and Entertainment, which owns the stadium, the Falcons and Atlanta United of Major League Soccer. Then-Tech athletic director J Batt said last fall that's about five times as much money as the school would make if it hosted the game on-campus.
