South Carolina State returns to the Celebration Bowl, attempting to win it all once again. In their way is Prairie View A&M, ready to win for the first time.
SC State has now appeared in the Celebration Bowl four times in the last five years, going 2-1 since 2021.
The MEAC champion for the second straight season, SC State has dominated the competition under second-year coach Chennis Berry. The Bulldogs have won seven straight. QB William Atkins IV has impressed, while Jordan Smith and Jalen Johnson are reliable targets.
Prairie View A&M became SWAC champions under Tremaine Jackson in his first season as the Panthers’ head coach. QB Cameron Peters can throw and run the ball, making him a massive threat. He also has a dangerous weapon in receiver Jyzaiah Rockwell.
