After winning the Big Sky championship and enjoying a first-round bye, Montana State will take the field on Saturday afternoon for a second-round matchup with Yale.
The Bobcats began the 2025 campaign with back-to-back losses, but they have won 10 straight games since falling to South Dakota State on Sept. 6. Montana State is highly motivated to make a deep run after nearly defeating North Dakota State in last year's national championship game.
A wild comeback win over Youngstown State propelled Yale into the second round. The Bulldogs were staring down a 35-7 deficit at halftime, but they exploded for 36 points in the second half behind a terrific performance from running back Josh Pitsenberger (32 carries, 209 yards, three touchdowns).
