The two preeminent powers in junior college football are set to face off once again with a trophy on the line.
Defending NJCAA Division I champion Hutchinson (11-0) meets Iowa Western (11-1) on Wednesday in a rematch of last year's final, which saw the Blue Dragons prevail in a 28-23 thriller. That result and Hutchinson's narrow 30-27 victory over the Reivers in September suggest another tight game is in the works.
The schools have combined to win four the last five national championships, with Hutchinson taking the crown in the 2020 and 2024 seasons and Iowa Western winning it all in 2022 and 2023.
