UT Permian Basin has turned in a pair of impressive road wins to open the NCAA Division II playoffs, but the degree of difficulty is about to increase substantially with No. 2 overall seed Harding looming Saturday.
The Bisons are in the midst of a historic run, quite literally, behind one of the best rushing attacks college football has ever seen. Harding (13-0) is averaging a staggering 455.2 rushing yards per game and needs "only" 242 yards Saturday to break its own national record of 6,160 yards set two years ago.
While the Bisons excel on the ground, UTPB relies on the passing game to move the ball. The Falcons are third in D2 at 331.5 passing yards per game, with QB Kanon Gibson throwing for 3,678 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Will air or ground win out in the D2 quarterfinals? Here's how to tune in and watch all the playoff action.
