After a slow start to the 2025 season, the Texas Longhorns are back in the thick of the College Football Playoff race.
With quarterback Arch Manning playing his best football of the season, the preseason No. 1 team has clawed its way back to No. 11 in the first CFP rankings. The Longhorns are 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the SEC, keeping all playoff aspirations alive.
In the final three games, Texas has two ranked opponents left on the schedule, with a big one in Athens on deck.

Does Texas play today?
Texas does not play this week.
On Nov. 1, the Longhorns defeated No. 9 Vanderbilt in their first game at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in 42 days, then jumped up from No. 20 in the AP Poll to No. 13.

The Longhorns' next game is a huge one, where they have to go to Athens to play No. 5 Georgia. Georgia is known for it's success at Sanford Stadium, only losing once since October 2019.
This will be Texas' biggest test on the road against a Georgia team that has only one loss this season to No. 4 Alabama.
