The TCU Horned Frogs will welcome the SMU Mustangs to Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth on Saturday.
It is also the start of Iron Skillset week, with TCU preparing for what could be their last scheduled matchup with rival SMU. This comes after the Horned Frogs announced in 2024 that the rivalry with the Mustangs will be temporarily paused after this weekend's game.
While TCU (2-0) are unbeaten so far, SMU (2-1) suffered an narrow 48-45 loss to Baylor in Week 2. Still, this will be the Horned Frogs' strongest opponent among the teams they have faced especially with the rise of Kevin Jennings last season.
Jennings helped the Mustangs reach the playoffs after throwing for 3,245 yards and 23 scores while rushing for 354 yards and five touchdowns. TCU will also look for payback after an embarrassing 66-42 loss in Dallas last year.
