CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Redshirt junior quarterback Kevin Jennings threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, while SMU's defense recorded eight sacks in a dominant 45-13 win over Boston College Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The victory moved the Mustangs to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in ACC play, keeping them alive in the conference race with two weeks left in the regular season.
SMU rallies past Boston College on Saturday
Jennings, who is named to multiple award watch lists this season, led SMU to a season-high 574 total yards, including 353 through the air. He became the first Mustang to log back-to-back 300-yard passing games in his career, spreading the ball to seven different receivers. Yamir Knight starred with a career-high 162 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Jordan Hudson added 104 yards and a score. It was the first time since 2022 that SMU had two receivers top the 100-yard mark in the same game.
On the ground, T.J. Harden rushed for a season-high 130 yards, while Derrick McFall found the end zone three times, capped by a 48-yard dash in the fourth quarter. SMU finished the night with 222 rushing yards, just the third time this season a Mustang has rushed for three touchdowns in a game.

Defensively, Isaiah Smith tied the SMU single-game sack record with four as part of the team's eight-sack barrage. Smith also added nine tackles and four tackles for loss, helping the Mustangs hold Boston College to just 13 points and 4-for-7 on fourth-down attempts. SMU forced four takeaways (two fumbles, two interceptions) and improved its NCAA lead in total takeaways to 26 for the year.
The Mustangs are now 13-1 in ACC games since joining the conference last season and boast a 36-15 overall record under Lashlee. They’re 26-4 in their last 29 regular-season contests, including 13-1 in November and 14-3 in their last 16 road games. SMU will host No. 15 Louisville on Nov. 22 at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas.
