Arkansas Razorbacks football fans have begun to wonder about a future beyond head coach Sam Pittman.
He was already on a hot seat entering this season, and a 2-2 start didn't help.
A Saturday shellacking at the hands of Notre Dame won't help the vibes, either.
Pittman has a 32-33 mark in his tenure at Arkansas, before the Notre Dame game.
The SEC isn't an easy conference, of course, but that could mean the Razorbacks decide it's time to move on sooner rather than later to give themselves a chance of lifting their program up in the years to come.

Sam Pittman buyout terms
Sam Pittman has a conditional buyout situation.
If his record since 2021 is above .500, his buyout costs Arkansas $9.8 million. If his record since 2021 is below .500, the buyout is $6.9 million.
Entering the Notre Dame game, Pittman had a 29-26 record since 2021. Arkansas would have to go on a tough stretch to decrease the buyout number.
Sam Pittman contract details
Sam Pittman signed a new contract with Arkansas in June 2022.
At the time, he was coming off a 9-4 season. Things haven't been that good since.
That 2022 contract extension went through 2026, and when Arkansas won seven games in 2022, it added another extension year through 2027.
At this rate, it seems unlikely Pittman will stick around for a couple more seasons unless things turn around in a hurry.
