The Oklahoma Sooners are ready to host the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first game of this year's edition of the College Football Playoff.

Norman, Oklahoma should be rocking, and the weather forecast is mostly positive for the game.

There may be one concern, though.

Oklahoma-Alabama weather forecast

This is how The Athletic's Chris Vannini spelled out the prognosis on X:

"The temperature in Norman is nice in the high 50s. But it’s quite windy. Something to watch."

A look at AccuWeather matches that, with it describing the day as "increasingly windy."

That could draw the kicking game into a little bit of question. Given that it might be a game on the lower-scoring side of things, that could create a bit of an adventure in a key moment.

AccuWeather lists the night-time wind gusts as rising as high as 32 miles per hour.

The good news is that there is no chance of precipitation. The temperature overnight will drop into the mid-40s.

Keep an eye on those flags, though. If they're blowing the wrong way at the wrong time, they could help decide a football game.
