Conference championship week can be a lonely time for the Irish faithful. Since Notre Dame is independent and not part of a conference, they don't play during this week.
The Fighting Irish started their season against two quality opponents in Texas A&M and Miami. They lost both of these games, but then rattled off 10 straight wins.
It's no secret that much of the college football universe has a real issue with Notre Dame's path to the College Football Playoff. Most of the time, the Irish play inferior opponents and, as a result, are usually a 10-win team by December at minimum.
