Northern Arizona football doesn't gain a lot of traction in the public consciousness.
They're an FCS program, a solid one, but that doesn't generate national awareness.
But on Friday night, they did something that you'll never see anywhere.
NAU had just scored a touchdown to take a one-point lead over Idaho, and they decided to go for 2.
Nothing weird about that, until halfway through the 2-point conversion, the stadium lights went out.
Somehow, NAU completed the pass.

The referee had to make a ruling on this play. It's not one you see every day.
In the end, the announcement was simple: "The lights went out in the middle of the play." They'd replay the try.

The good news for Northern Arizona is that they got the 2 points on the next try, too.
The bad news is that Idaho got the game to overtime and beat NAU there, 35-32.
Northern Arizona will always have this wild memory, though.
