The Navy has revealed its uniforms for The Army-Navy game, featuring an intricate homage to the USS Constitution, which will be worn on December 13th in Baltimore. This design pays tribute to “Old Ironsides,”, a foundational frigate of the Navy and the planet's most ancient commissioned warship still in service, as noted in a report by ESPN.

The helmet is the centerpiece, featuring an illustrated depiction of the USS Constitution on one side and the U.S. Navy monogram on the other. Its copper color nods to the metal that famously sheathed the ship’s hull. 

A wooden-plank-style center stripe includes rope wrapping that forms 63 knots on both sides, symbolizing Navy’s 63 wins over Army and commemorating the 126th meeting in the rivalry.

 

Two blue hues are featured on the jersey. One is a “washed” tone inspired by Early Navy attire, and the other is a richer “nautical” hue that signifies the vessel's structure. The lettering style is based on the 1794 “Act to Provide Naval Armament,” that established the Navy's initial six frigates. 

This additional rope, featuring 250 knots, commemorates the service's 250th anniversary, as indicated by the nameplates that read “Navy 250th.”, revealing many profound meanings of America's Game.
