It's trophy time in the MAC as Western Michigan and Miami (Ohio) face off in the championship game Saturday.
The RedHawks (7-5, 6-2 MAC)) will play for the conference title for the third consecutive season and will hope this edition plays out more like their 2023 triumph over Toledo than last year's blowout loss to Ohio U.
Miami won the regular-season meeting between these two teams in Oxford on Oct. 25, scoring 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to stun the Broncos.
Western (8-4, 7-1) recovered from that blow by winning its final four games to close the regular season and will have plenty of confidence entering the rematch.

The 2025 MAC championship game will be played at Ford Field in Detroit, home of the NFL's Lions.
The stadium has hosted the game every year since 2004. Prior to that, title games from 1997 to 2003 were played at the higher-seeded participating school's home stadium.
