LSU Tigers HC Brian Kelly gets laid out on the sideline trying to call a timeout image

The number one rule when you're on the sideline during a football game, you need to have spatial awareness. There have been too many times we've seen innocent bystanders on the TV screen get obliterated for not being aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately, LSU Tigers HC Brian Kelly found out about that rule the hard way.

During Saturday night's matchup against the Florida Gators, HC Kelly was running to a referee trying to call a timeout with 7 seconds left in the first half. Then, out of nowhere, he got blindsided by two players duking it out after the whistle was blown dead on the sideline.

Luckily, HC Kelly avoided an injury and was able to get up like it was nothing and coach the rest of the game. You would think a veteran head coach who has 35 years of coaching experience would be more aware, but he really needed to call that time out.
