Army football heads to Manhattan chasing its first victory of the new campaign, squaring off with Kansas State in a matchup steeped in a little bit of history.

The Black Knights have had the Wildcats’ number in their only two previous meetings, winning 21-6 at Michie Stadium back in 1966 and rolling 41-14 on the road in 1987. Army enters the contest carrying an all-time mark of 739-548-51, fresh off a stellar 12-2 finish in 2024.

Last week’s season opener, however, was a bitter pill to swallow. Army let a 24-10 third-quarter cushion slip away against Tarleton State, ultimately falling 30-27 in double overtime.

A missed field goal late in regulation kept the door open, and after both sides traded three-pointers in the first OT, kicker Dawson Jones pushed his second attempt wide. That opened the door for Tarleton’s Brad Larson, who nailed a 37-yarder to steal the win.

Kansas State, sitting at 1-1, has already experienced a roller-coaster start. The Wildcats dropped their opener overseas in Dublin, falling 24-21 to Iowa State on Aug. 23, before righting the ship a week later with a 38-35 nail-biter over North Dakota in their home debut.

Here's what you need to know to watch the Kansas State Wildcats host the Army Black Knights on Saturday, including start time and TV channel.
