The Florida State Seminoles put up a better record this season than last, but they still just went 5-7.
They need to find a spark, and they've turned to the transfer portal.
The jolt they're looking for? He may just be a Division II quarterback.
Marcus Stokes is in the portal from D-II school West Florida.
Florida State is one of many schools to have reached out to Stokes.
As a dual-threat, Stokes put up a total of 3,664 yards and 40 touchdowns during the 2025 season for West Florida.
On3's Hayes Fawcett shared the long school list going after Stokes on X on Wednesday:
West Florida standout transfer QB Marcus Stokes has heard from these schools since entering the @TransferPortal, he tells @On3Sports

He's got the size, athleticism and performance to suggest that a move up to the ACC wouldn't be too much for Stokes to handle.
Some players simply develop later or get noticed later than others.
Stokes could be the guy who turns Florida State around, if they find a way to get him ahead of all those other contending programs.
