Last week, No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2028 class, Jayden Wade set his commitment date for Sunday November 16th. This week the IMG product has a received an official commitment prediction from Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong.

Wade had previously narrowed down his final list to the Oregon Ducks, Michigan Wolverine, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, Florida Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes and Washington Huskies.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of sustained college football success. Landing the No. 1 player in the 2028 class would be a huge win for any of the above programs. According to On3, Wade has taken to unofficial visits to USC and Georgia.

Wade became the starting quarterback at IMG Academy this year, his sophomore season. During this season Wade has passed for almost 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns against only two interceptions.

His on-field success may have only started this season, but programs have been aware of Wade for some time. According to 247sports, Wade received his first scholarship offer from San Jose State in 2022. Wade was in the seventh grade.

According to both Rivals and 247sports, Georgia has the inside track to land Wade. Both recruiting outlets have Georgia ranked very high on Wade’s list. However, Rivals has set the probabilities heading into Wade's final decision.

According to Rivals, Wade is 98% likely to commit to Georgia. They also have Texas at 1% with 14 other programs falling under 1% likelihood. Some of those are Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, Michigan and USC.

Wade will be 19 years old in 2028, creating some speculation that Wade might reclassify into the class of 2027. Georgia currently has four quarterback commits for the 2027 class and are ranked in the top 10 of 2027 team recruiting rankings.
