Does Oklahoma play today?

No, Oklahoma doesn't play on Saturday, Dec. 6.

It's conference championship weekend, and the SEC title game pits Alabama against Georgia.

Oklahoma is used to playing on this weekend from its time in the Big 12. That league's title game Saturday features Texas Tech and BYU.

OU put together a strong season, but was just on the outside looking in from a chance to play in the SEC championship.

What's next for Oklahoma?

The Sooners will have to wait for Sunday for some intrigue.

That's when the College Football Playoff selections are announced.

OU isn't in any danger of missing the field, but the Sooners will learn whether they were seeded well enough to earn a first-round home game, as well as who their opponent is slated to be.
