Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, brother Shilo get remarkably similar NFL contracts image

Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders have both signed NFL contracts.

Despite their NFL Draft falls (Shedeur to the fifth round, Shilo undrafted), they're both officially professional football players. It has to be a cool feeling for the Sanders family, and the brothers will now set about proving themselves after starring in college at Colorado.

Shedeur agreed on his rookie contract with the Browns on Monday, while Shilo and the Buccaneers were locked into a deal last week, per Spotrac.

The contracts aren't really all that different, which wouldn't have been the expectation heading into the draft, since Shedeur was anticipated as a first-round pick.

Instead, though, his fifth-round selection and Shilo's priority UDFA contract look pretty similar.

Shedeur's deal is for four years and $4.6 million.

Shilo's deal, according to Spotrac, is three years and $2.96 million.

That works out to $1.15 million per year for Shedeur, and $0.987 million per year for Shilo.

They likely will both make additional money in sponsorships, and they come from a family that likely didn't lack for much as sons of NFL legend Deion Sanders.

The goal now for the Sanders brothers will be to impress at the NFL level enough to earn much bigger second contracts.

Shedeur, as a quarterback, has a high contract ceiling. Shilo, a safety, will have to really stand out to make his mark as an undrafted player.

They both have the talent to do it, and they're both finally under contract, so now it's time to prove themselves.
