College football rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 polls after Penn State, Georgia, LSU losses in Week 5 image

After a fairly quiet Week 4 for the nation's top-ranked programs, four top-10 teams fell in Week 5.

Penn State's comeback effort against Oregon fell short despite a white-out back drop in State College, while Georgia likewise couldn't hold serve at home against Alabama. LSU suffered its first loss of the season in Oxford as Ole Miss made its case to surge in the rankings, and Florida State was trampled — literally — by Virginia in double overtime on Friday night.

The Ducks, Crimson Tide and Rebels are positioned to rise in Sunday's rankings, while Illinois and Tennessee are among top-25 teams who can exhale and expect to remain ranked after narrowly avoiding home losses.

Here's a look at the updated college football rankings for Week 6, including both the Coaches Poll and AP Top 25.
